Webcam Workshop

What this Is: An Interactive Working Session

This is a working session where we review your set up and equipment; it’s limited to six participants. You’ll learn by hearing the tips we give others, and from our review of your space.

We’ll go around one-by-one to look at your space and take stock of your equipment. You’ll get tips on how to change your set up for better lighting, a better background, and a better framing on camera.

What this Isn’t

This isn’t a lecture. Attendees should be motivated and prepared to improve their remote presentation skills and environment.

  • Introductions, Tips and Other Info (10-15 minutes)
  • Participant Reviews and Advice (45-60 minutes)
This is your chance to get advice about your specific set up and learn from the tips we give other participants.
  • Follow Up Q & A (5-15 minutes)
We’ll take your questions about lights, on-camera coaching, and technical issues.

Be ready to:

  • show us your space (drawings and measurements are helpful, too)
  • make easy changes immediately
  • use the tips you get to change your set up afterwards
